Top 5 Holistic Healing Methods That Changed My Life!

Updated: Jan 3

How I Started Healing Holistically

10 years ago, if you would have told me I would now be promoting health and wellness, I would have probably told you to F off while I lit my Newport 100 and ate my 7-11 taquito (nothing like some buffalo chix and butter rolls). Idk what sparked it, but once I hit my 30s, I had a deep realization that my life up until this point had been the same cycle of toxicity, sickness, and stress. I knew I needed a change.

I, like many who grow up in the bar and nightlife industry, was used to masking my problems with bottles of liquor and a variety of drugs, waking up without purpose and not being any closer to solving my piling worries. I thought it was the worlds fault, because my issues were internal, so I had to get down to the root for true healing. Alright, enough about the "why" and let's get to the "how." In this article, I’m listing off straight FACTS on what it took for me to become a better person with my top five ways to heal your mind, body, and spirit using holistic practices. Get cozy, grab a cup of your favorite herbal tea(chamomile) and a hemp blunt, and let's get started on this incredible journey towards a happier, healthier you!

Quantum Healing

Alright y'all were bout to get real hippie. Ive never believed in therapy but SHEESH! This has to be #1 because it allowed me to pursue the remaining four methods open-mindedly. I don’t know what really triggered me, but things I thought I had dealt with kept coming back in waves until it was almost necessary for me to address them before I exploded. My recurring patterns of anger and meeting the same person in different bodies was just not how I wanted to remember life. As I said on Jay Leno, THIS is why I'm here and this is how I made it!

Quantum healing is a holistic practice that comes from the principles of quantum physics, which recognizes the interconnectedness of everything in the universe. It is based on the idea that our bodies are made up of energy fields that are in constant communication with the energy fields surrounding us. By harnessing and directing these energy fields, quantum healing aims to bring about balance and harmony within the body, mind, and soul.

Some of the techniques used in quantum healing include Reiki (debatably different), acupuncture, biofeedback, and meditation. These practices work to shift the energy within the body and facilitate self-healing, allowing women and men to tap into their innate healing abilities. All these techniques are different and should be studied before you decide to let someone mess with your energy! For today, let’s take a look on how it benefits women (don’t worry fellas this is something you can show you girl if she needs healing).💃🏽 Shoutout to Laura Cantu for helping me help myself. https://youtu.be/ZRzIZHPaHk4

1. Stress Relief and Emotional Well-being

The fast-paced nature of modern life can often lead to an accumulation of stress and anxiety in women. Quantum healing techniques, such as meditation and Reiki, have been shown to significantly reduce stress levels and promote emotional well-being. By helping to regulate the body's energy fields, these practices can induce a deep state of relaxation and help women release pent-up emotions, leading to improved mental health and resilience.

2. Hormonal Balance and Menstrual Health

Hormonal imbalances are a common issue faced by women of all ages, often causing problems like PMS, irregular periods, and menopause symptoms. Quantum healing techniques can help restore hormonal balance by harmonizing the body's energy fields and promoting the healthy functioning of the endocrine system. For instance, acupuncture has been found to be effective in alleviating menstrual pain and regulating menstrual cycles, making it an ideal complementary therapy for women seeking relief from hormonal issues.

3. Fertility and Pregnancy Support

Many women face challenges in their journey to conceive and carry a healthy pregnancy. Quantum healing practices, such as Reiki and acupuncture, have shown promising results in enhancing fertility and supporting women throughout pregnancy. By balancing the body's energy fields, these techniques can help create a more conducive environment for conception and reduce stress and anxiety during pregnancy. Also, they can help alleviate common pregnancy-related discomforts, such as morning sickness and back pain. Im never gonna have to deal with this because I’m forever a great Aunt!

4. Pain Relief and Chronic Condition Management

Quantum healing practices can be highly effective in managing chronic pain and conditions, such as fibromyalgia, migraines, and arthritis, which disproportionately affect women. Techniques like acupuncture and biofeedback have been found to provide significant pain relief and improve the quality of life for women suffering from chronic pain. Furthermore, by addressing the root causes of pain through energy balancing, quantum healing can facilitate long-term healing and prevent recurrence.

5. Enhanced Intuition and Spiritual Growth

Women are often recognized for their intuitive abilities, and quantum healing practices can help further enhance this gift. Through meditation, Reiki, and other energy work, women can deepen their connection to their inner wisdom and spiritual selves. By tapping into the universal energy field, women can gain insights, guidance, and clarity, fostering personal growth and a more profound understanding of their life purpose. This is how I know Im an alien.

6. Boosted Immune System and Overall Health

By bringing balance and harmony to the body's energy fields, quantum healing practices can help strengthen the immune system and promote overall health.

Minerals

If you didn't know, Ive been on daily minerals for 2 years now, then went to Honduras for healing and it has significantly changed my health, blood and body overall (1 yr bloodwork transformation this month!) Imagine waking up everyday feeling like superman, free of pain, anxiety and exhaustion.

1. Rich in Essential Minerals

One of the main reasons Dr. Sebi championed sea moss is because of its remarkable mineral content. Sea moss contains 92 of the 102 essential minerals our bodies need to function optimally. By incorporating sea moss into your diet, you can support various bodily functions and contribute to your overall health and well-being. Some of the key minerals found in sea moss include calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, and zinc, each providing its own unique set of benefits.

2. Supports a Healthy Immune System

In today's world, maintaining a robust immune system is more important than ever. Sea moss is packed with nutrients that support immune health, including antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. By including sea moss in your diet, you can provide your body with the tools it needs to fight off infections, reduce inflammation, and protect against illness.

3. Promotes Optimal Digestive Health

Sea moss is a natural source of soluble fiber, which is essential for maintaining a healthy digestive system. Soluble fiber helps to regulate bowel movements, preventing constipation and promoting regularity. Additionally, the gelatinous texture of sea moss can soothe the digestive tract, providing relief from conditions like gastritis, indigestion, and acid reflux.

4. Boosts Energy Levels

Feeling sluggish and low on energy? Sea moss might just be the solution you need. Packed with essential minerals and B vitamins, sea moss helps to improve energy production within the body. By incorporating this nutrient-dense superfood into your daily routine, you can experience increased vitality and sustained energy throughout the day. I used the natural fat burner to help me come clean off coffee (4 years sober off Bustelo ZOOMIN).

5. Supports Respiratory Health

For centuries, sea moss has been used as a natural remedy for respiratory issues, such as colds, coughs, and bronchitis. Rich in potassium chloride, sea moss can help to break down mucus and phlegm, clearing your airways and making it easier to breathe. Its anti-inflammatory properties also contribute to alleviating respiratory discomfort and promoting overall respiratory health.

6. Enhances Skin, Hair, and Nail Health

Sea moss's benefits are not limited to the inside of your body; it also has a significant impact on your external appearance. Rich in vitamins and minerals like vitamin A, vitamin E, and sulfur, sea moss can help to improve the health of your skin, hair, and nails. By incorporating sea moss into your diet or applying it topically as a mask, you can achieve a radiant complexion, stronger nails, and healthier, shinier hair.

7. Aids in Weight Management

Incorporating sea moss into your daily routine can also support healthy weight management. High in fiber, sea moss helps to increase feelings of fullness and satiety, reducing the likelihood of overeating and promoting weight loss. Additionally, its iodine content supports healthy thyroid function, which is essential for regulating metabolism and maintaining a healthy weight.

8. Supports Mental Health and Cognitive Function

Sea moss is rich in vitamins and minerals, including magnesium, which is known to help promote relaxation and reduce stress. Magnesium is also essential for healthy brain function. It is a natural source of tryptophan, an amino acid that helps produce serotonin, a neurotransmitter that plays a key role in regulating mood, sleep, and appetite.

Sea moss helps support healthy gut function, which is increasingly being recognized as an important factor in overall mental health. A healthy gut can improve the absorption of nutrients from food, reduce inflammation, and support the production of key neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine.

Plant-Based/Alkaline Diet

This was def one of the hardest habits for me to start and keep up with. Im from Jersey, where we eat our bread and cheese with a side of bread and cheese. Eating “clean” for more than a few days was never my forte. But this right here changed my life! This is not a vegan diet; we are eating non acidic foods that when ingested into the bloodstream, cause alkalinity to heal disease from within. Check here for a full list dos and donts. (I know, I know, your gonna miss broccoli...) https://dietaryresolutions.com/eating-guide

1. Improved Heart Health

One of the most significant benefits of a plant-based diet is its positive impact on heart health. Consuming a diet rich in whole, plant-based foods can help lower cholesterol levels, reduce blood pressure, and decrease the risk of heart disease – the leading cause of death worldwide.

When you opt for a plant-based diet, you consume less saturated fat, which is often found in animal products and has been linked to higher cholesterol levels and an increased risk of heart disease. Instead, you'll be consuming more heart-healthy fats, such as those found in avocados, nuts, and seeds. Additionally, plant-based diets are rich in fiber, antioxidants, and other nutrients that help reduce inflammation and promote overall cardiovascular health.

2. Weight Management

Maintaining a healthy weight can be a challenge for many, but adopting a plant-based diet can make it easier to achieve and maintain a healthy weight. Plant-based foods are typically lower in calories and fat compared to animal products while still providing essential nutrients and satisfying your appetite.

The high fiber content of plant-based foods helps you feel fuller longer, reducing the likelihood of overeating and promoting weight loss. Moreover, whole plant foods are less calorie-dense than processed foods and animal products, making it easier to consume fewer calories without feeling deprived.

3. Enhanced Digestive Health

A healthy gut is the cornerstone of overall health, and a plant-based diet can do wonders for your digestive system. Plant-based diets are rich in fiber, which is essential for maintaining a healthy digestive system. Fiber aids in regular bowel movements, preventing constipation and promoting the growth of beneficial gut bacteria.

In addition to providing essential nutrients, plant-based foods tend to be gentler on the digestive system than animal products, which can be harder to break down and cause inflammation. This can be especially helpful for those with sensitive stomachs or digestive disorders like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

4. Reduced Risk of Chronic Diseases

The health benefits of a plant-based diet extend beyond weight loss and heart health – it can also help reduce your risk of developing chronic diseases. Studies have shown that plant-based diets are associated with a lower risk of type 2 diabetes, certain types of cancer, and other chronic illnesses.

For example, a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains has been linked to a lower risk of colorectal cancer, while a diet high in red and processed meats has been associated with an increased risk. Similarly, plant-based diets have been shown to improve blood sugar control, reducing the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

5. Increased Energy Levels

Do you often find yourself feeling sluggish or lacking energy throughout the day? A plant-based diet might be just what you need to boost your energy levels and increase your overall vitality. Plant-based diets are high in complex carbohydrates, which provide a steady source of energy, unlike simple carbs found in processed foods that can cause blood sugar spikes and crashes. Last but not least, plant-based foods are easier for the body to digest, allowing for more efficient energy production and less strain on the digestive system. This can lead to increased energy levels and improved overall health. (See the pattern?)

Yoga/Meditation

Yoga is an ancient practice that has been around for thousands of years. It is a form of exercise that promotes physical, mental and spiritual well-being. The practice involves holding different poses, known as asanas, while focusing on breathing and meditation. One of the most significant benefits of yoga is improved flexibility. Regular yoga practice can increase your range of motion and prevent injury by loosening up the muscles and joints. Growing up, I thought yoga was a cult activity and only a rich thing, but its allowed me to be rich in the present moment. Shoutout to Kris Blunt for teaching me to not be scared of my own silence.

1. Improved Posture & Balance

Many yoga poses require you to hold yourself in a balanced position helping to strengthen your core muscles, which, in turn, improves your posture. It also helps to improve your stability and balance which is particularly important as we age, as it helps to prevent falls and injuries.

2. Strength

Yoga poses require you to hold your body weight, which builds strength in your muscles, especially your arms and legs. This additional strength can translate into improved performance in other activities and sports, as well as slowly repair any injuries.

3. Stress-Reducing Benefits

The practice involves intentional breathing, meditation and mindfulness, which help to manage stress levels. Practicing yoga regularly can reduce anxiety, and enhance mood and overall well-being. Mediation changed my mental drastically because Ive been an impatient and snappy Speedy Gonzalez my whole life.

4. Sleep

Yoga helps to calm the mind and relax the body, improving the quality of sleep. Poor sleep is often attributed to stress, anxiety and other problems, but yoga can alleviate these issues, allowing for deeper and more restorative sleep. I like to do my meditation and stretching right before bed and I sleep like a rock. Getting my 8hrs regularly is a blessing!

5. Increased Energy

The breathing and meditation techniques used in yoga can help to increase energy levels and reduce fatigue. It boosts circulation, and yoga poses stimulate the nervous system, resulting in a more energized feeling in the body.

6. Focus and Concentration

The practice of yoga requires a level of mindfulness, which helps to develop greater focus and concentration. This can help in your daily life, particularly if you have a demanding job or other commitments. You don’t have bad days, you have days you can handle better than others.

7. Improved Immune Function

Certain yoga poses stimulate the lymphatic system, which is responsible for fighting off infections and diseases. It also moves the blood and oxygen around the body more effectively, which can help to boost the immune system and help those particularly with digestive issues.

Reading

When I was little, I couldn’t wait to use my library card! I would check out 10 books at a time just to go back the next week to replace them. I won A LOT of free Pizza Hut personal pans for the Book-It program (I always had an appetite), and yup, I was the kid waiting in line for the newest Harry Potter book to release at midnight. Reading was a necessary means of escape from my often negative surroundings and once I hit survival mode I completely dropped the habit. Now that Ive implemented it into my daily routine, it has helped me immensely with my mindset, interactions and businesses.

1. Mental Stimulation and Cognitive Enhancement

Reading stimulates the brain, keeping it active and engaged. Just as physical exercise strengthens the body, mental exercise in the form of reading strengthens the mind. Regular reading can help improve memory, concentration, and critical thinking skills. Additionally, it can reduce the risk of developing cognitive decline and conditions like Alzheimer's and dementia as we start turning grey (Im gonna be Storm one day).

2. Stress Reduction and Emotional Well-being

Reading can be a powerful stress-reliever, providing an escape from the pressures of everyday life. By immersing ourselves in a dope story, we can temporarily set aside our worries and anxieties, letting our mind relax and rejuvenate. Furthermore, reading can promote empathy and emotional intelligence by exposing us to diverse perspectives, experiences, and cultures. This can lead to better understanding and appreciation of the world around us, fostering a deeper sense of connection and well-being.
